This page explains how you can delete your Reema account and the personal data associated with it. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1: Delete Your Account in the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Reema app:
- Open the Reema app and make sure you are signed in.
- Open the menu and tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
For security reasons, you may be asked to sign in again before your account can be deleted.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can ask us to delete your account. Send an email to privacy@reema.app with the subject "Account deletion request".
Please send the email from the address you used to sign in to Reema, so we can verify that the account belongs to you. If you signed in with Apple or Google, please tell us which one. If you signed in with Apple using "Hide My Email", please send the request from the Apple ID email address and mention this in your message.
We will confirm your request and delete your account within 30 days.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete:
- Your account and sign-in information (such as your email address and name)
- All anniversaries and groups you have created
- Your reminder and notification settings
- Your user profile and app preferences
- Groups you have shared with others via a share link
- Your calendar subscription, if you have enabled one
What Data May Be Retained
- Purchases and subscriptions: Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Deleting your Reema account does not cancel an active subscription. Please cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. Purchase records may be retained by these providers and by us as required by law (for example, for accounting and tax purposes).
- Anniversaries shared with others: If you shared anniversaries with other users and they imported them into their own app, these copies belong to their accounts and are not deleted.
- Aggregated usage data: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked to you may be retained.
- Legal obligations: We may retain certain information if we have a legal obligation to do so.
